The real reason I want to meet Dolly Parton
March 1990 I got married to a man who was extremely abusive toward me, physically, and verbally. Several friends and relatives tried to pursue me to leave, but for whatever reason I couldn’t.
One night in September 1991, my ex was out partying and as usual, left me home with our baby son. That same night Wild Texas Wind was aired on t.v. It inspired me to up and leave the abusive relationship I was in. I probably would have ended up dead if I would have stayed much longer.
Since I was a little girl I used to watch Dolly Parton singing on t.v. and thought she was so beautiful when she would float down singing “Butterfly”. I love her music, her beauty, and all that’s “Dolly”.
